Access Tips & Tricks
Access Ribbon
Many users find the Ribbon in Access takes up to much space and can be quite irritating. Hide it.
It’s relatively easy to do it and doesn’t involve a whole lot of steps. You can minimize the ribbon by double-clicking on one of the tabs – it’s that simple and Access will still remember your preferences.

Sorting Raw Data
Most developers create custom sorting on reports, but if you need to do a quick sort on raw data, here is how:
Open the table in Datasheet View and click the Home tab. You have several flexible tools in the Sort & Filter group. Click inside any field and then click Ascending or Descending. To sort multiple fields, hold down the Shift key and click the fields to add them to the selection. As you can see in Figure E, a few clicks sorts first by vendor, then by invoice amount, and then by invoice date. Click Remove Sort to return the data to its original order at any time.
